Biology Club participates in Junior Agricultural Chemistry Society (Sapporo Conference)!

On Friday, March 7th, we participated in a research presentation event for high school students from the Junior Agricultural Chemistry Society (sponsored by the Agricultural Chemistry Society of Japan) held at the Sapporo Convention Center (Sapporo City)*.

On the day of the event, in the pouring snow, 39 presentations were submitted from all over the country, from as far north as Hokkaido to as far south as Okinawa, and a fierce battle ensued over the posters.

Because the Biology Club’s presentation number was JP01, they had to give a poster presentation during the first odd-numbered core time in the morning, but they received valuable feedback from the judges and academic society members. After that, they gave poster presentations during the even-numbered core time and free time, and then had a social gathering with other schools in the afternoon, and finally the awards ceremony.

Unfortunately, we did not win a prize at the award ceremony, but we would like to use this experience from this presentation as a stepping stone to new research starting in the new academic year.
