Tsukuba Science Edge
On 2018年3月24日 by yamamurakokusaiSix members of the Yamamura Kokusai High School biology club participated in this years high school science exposition at Tsukuba International Conference Hall, attended by high schools across Japan and the World. A third year student presented his research into the antibacterial effects of wasabi on the food poisoning bacteria in sashimi in English. The poster session had high schools from the Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Myanmar and Thailand, as well as English presentations from schools such as Yokohama Science Frontier, Ichikawa Gakuen Ichikawa, Tokyo Metropolitan Tama, Rikkyo Ikebukuro, Sakae Higashi, Ikubunkan and Tsukuba Technical High Schools in Japan.


The second year poster, the effects of Manuka honey on the intestinal flora of mice, won first prize out of 187 entries in the Japanese poster presentation competition.

The biology club continues to offer high quality research and great opportunities to its members.
