Light Music Club-Participated in the 10th Rookie Festival

On Sunday, February 9th, two bands from the light music club’s first-year students, Pliades. and Terro-Rhythm, participated in the 10th High School Rookies Festival (Kawagoe Minami venue) organized by the Saitama Prefecture High School Light Music Federation.

This contest is for first-year students only, and this year’s level was much higher than in previous years. The Kawagoe Minami venue is a qualifying tournament for high schools in the western region, and is a region where Tokorozawa High School, which has advanced to the national tournament, and other schools that regularly make it to the finals, are crowded together, so it is a tournament that our school’s light music club would like to win.

The two bands who participated showed off their daily training skills to the fullest, and it was very impressive to see them playing hard while enjoying themselves and being nervous.

Unfortunately, they did not win a prize, but they listened intently to the high-level performances of other schools, with a view to the next tournament for second-year students and above.
