Education Consultation Instructor Training

On Saturday, July 20th, Dr. Norito Oshima of the University of Tokyo Consultation Support Research and Development Center was invited as a lecturer and conducted on-campus training for teachers. The these of the training is “Mental care in high school considering from relationship with college students.”

Based on the experience of supporting college students, the teacher explained the importance of mental support from high school. “I was given specific examples from three perspectives: noticing the student`s mental illness, supporting the student and supporting each other, and being able to show strength even if there is a mental discomfort.” We would like to consult with the students, but there are many times when it is not actually connected to the consultation. People around me have told me the importance of talking to the students at the right time.

We would like to make use of what we have learned in the training during our educational activities from the fall semester.
