Summer of Wind Ensemble

On August 4th, Yamamura Kokusai Wind Ensemble won the gold prize in the A section of the Saitama Prefecture Brass Band Competition held at the Saitama City Cultural Center and moved forward to participate in the prefectural tournament.
On July 31st, they participated in the National High School Cultural Festival Tokyo Tournament (Tokyo Sobun 2022) as a representative of Saitama Prefecture. The wind ensemble performed at the Ueno Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, a wonderful hall where world-famous orchestras perform. This competition is considered the most prestigious contest for culture clubs at high school, and in the brass band section, talented schools from each prefecture performed.
On July 10th, the brass band club and dance club went to Koshigaya Municipal Baseball Stadium to support the baseball club participating in the summer high school baseball tournament (High School Baseball Championship Saitama Tournament). The opponent school was the higher seeded Kasukabe Higashi High School. Nonetheless, Yamamura Kokusai won 11-1 (5c) and were able to advance to the next game.
