Speech and Recitation Contest

On the last Saturday of October, Yamamura Kokusai students gathered for the speech and recitation contest. There were six finalists in the recitation contest, which had begun in September with every first year student participating in the class stage. The finalists read snippets of children’s stories, including Eric Carle, Roald Dahl and Sendak. The level was high, well memorized and delivered with feeling.

There were seven speeches. Topics covered cruelty to animals, table manners, English language and more. The speeches were well researched, written and delivered.

The level of English at Yamamura Kokusai continues to rise.
